 Today I have reflected on my year at kura. 

At the beginning of the year I set a goal. It was to My goal is to focus on my learning and listen to the teacher and don't talk to my friends while the teacher's talking. I have improved on this. I don’t always sit with people I will talk to. I try to focus when the teacher is giving instructions. I do still get distracted sometimes.

 Today in Cybersmart we worked on practice activity for the summer learning journey. we had to colour a picture we had chosen from a range of images.This one is pretty old, made in 1859.I really enjoyed it.

What is a book club you may ask. Well let me tell you all about our one. 

The first thing we do is choose a book that looks interesting. Then we work with the people who choose the same book.

Next, we work in our ropu to figure out how many pages we need to read each day.while reading each section we fill in our discussion tickets with figurative,language,vocabulary favorite paragraph, favorite part.

finally we share the information from our tickets.

 Every one in the group has a job to do each day.Either editor,publicist,translator,illustrator we then talk about our discussion seeds before filling in our booklet here is a photo of my booklet.

This week I choose to read stories for kiwi kids this is the photo of my book It is all about different stories and the people that are in my group is Louis,Taya,Harlem we are reading this pukapuka for 17 days. We need to read 9 pages a day.

The monster under the bed

No one believes me they think I'm lying but it's really true a big hairy monster lives under
my bed and I can prove it. The monster looks ugly and it is really hairy it has sharp claws

and it's sound's like a alien and it' s smell like trash from the rubbish bin. The monster 
is really fat he is like the same size as a donkey but just more bigger. The large monster 
was as scary as a clown.The monster had sharp teeth and he was as ugly as a alien.

I picked 5 rohe from the map and described the huarere.

First I decided what my maih toi would look like 

next,I began to plan my maih to.,I started my plan by doing some research

On moon phases in maori words and we had to draw moon phases. 

What made me keep me going is so I can be more smart
